Yesterday’s meeting in the premises of the Quito Sex Workers Union, attended by representatives of the Association of Trans Sex Workers of Quito, Yasu Rosado from Machala and Amy Mendoza from Guayaquil, as well as members of the National Police incluidng Police Chief of the Mariscal Circuit, was very productive.

We reached important agreements: the Police Chief of the Mariscal Circuit committed to respect the gender identity of trans sex workers and trans persons in general.

We committed to support the work of the National Police: we are part of the solution, NOT the problem
